Charlie Wilson's War

Besikiss 2 all!

Sorry for being late… I’ve been too busy this week. Well… I promised a review for this movie, right? Ok, here you have!

I have to say that I hardly knew about the film when I went to watch it, I just want to see miss Roberts and go out that night, so I didn’t have too many expectatives.

At first I even thought that it was a comedy, that Charlie guy liked so much women that it results comical! But soon it stopped being fun, at the moment that the movie itself made you face the harsh reality: the world around us stinks. I don’t know what is the final intention of the film, the conclusion that this simple doll drew of that 100 minutes of film is that, from a position of power (not necessarily too much power), simple mortals can move the threads of fate of the rest of humankind, with the best or worst intentions, without thinking or bear the consequences that may arise from playing to be gods.

Aside from the historical-political issue, at the comfortable refuge of some frivolity, I choose two spectacular moments (of Julia, of course):

-
When, while she’s making up, she separates the rimmel of her lashes with a safety pin. Brrrr, it gives chills!

-
And, of course, the “yes-I-have-been-mother-but-here-I-am-with-my-hot-body-again” moment.

Besikiss 2 all!
